NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO CONSIDER A ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

 TAKE NOTICE THAT the Planning Department of the Township of Montague has received an Application for a Zoning By-law Amendment that was deemed complete on June 10th, 2025;

 AND THAT the Council of the Township of Montague will hold and in-person and livestreamed PUBLIC MEETING on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering a proposed zoning by-law amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act.  The meeting can be viewed on the Township of Montague’s YouTube channel, or you may attend in person at 6547 Roger Stevens Drive, Smiths Falls, Ontario, to participate in the public meeting.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT:    The proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment will amend the zoning of the proposed severed lands from Rural (RU) to Rural - Special Exception 17  to recognize the 143m building base distance from the livestock facility at 1681 County Road 43.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION is available for public inspection by appointment at the Township of Montague’s Municipal Office during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 4:30pm.  For more information about this matter, including information about appeal rights, contact the Planner noted below.
