Update: June 10th, 2021
On June 9, 2021, a meeting of the Emergency Operations Centre was held to assess the COVID-19 situation. As the Province of Ontario enters Step 1 of Ontario's reopening, the EOC has made the decision that the Township office will open as of Tuesday, June 15th, 2021.
The office will be open to members of the public between the hours of 9:00AM – 4:00 PM with COVID-19 protocols in place.
The front door will be opened to allow two (2) people in the reception area at a time. Masks are mandatory in the office with no exceptions. Hand sanitizer will be used after every visitor and before each and every transaction.
Please remember the following:
- Stay home when feeling unwell.
- Observe physical distancing rules and maintain at least two metres between yourself and others at all times.
- Wear a cloth face covering indoors or when maintaining distance is difficult.
- Practice good hand hygiene, carrying hand wipes or hand sanitizer at all times.
The Township continues to encourage residents with the option to have contactless pick up and drop off as per the guidelines from the Health Unit.
The Rosedale Hall will be open and will follow the Provincial Orders of Ontario for Phase 1.
The Province will remain in Step 1 for a minimum of three weeks (21 days) in order to evaluate the impacts of the change in restrictions. As the COVID-19 situation changes, additional restrictions could be introduced or changed at any time.
The EOC will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and take direction from the Federal government, Provincial government, and Health Unit. As always, the Township encourages all residents to be prudent and follow directives from the Health Unit on how to protect themselves and their family.
Please continue to monitor the Township's website and Facebook for further announcements.
