Council Highlights October 1, 2019

Regular Meeting of Council

• The Township received two delegations regarding internet connectivity in the area and asked if Council would look at ways to assist in improving the connectivity. Council direct staff to provide information and updates to them.
• Council approved the terms of the Treasury Assistance Contract.
• Council passed bylaw 3739-2019 to appoint an acting Treasurer for the Township.

Committee of the Whole

• Council directed staff to place a policy regarding our Visual Identity Guidelines on the next council meeting for approval.
• Council directed staff to post the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan on the website and Facebook for public input.
• Council direct staff to discuss the Staff and Volunteer Appreciation Night with the Recreation Committee and discuss at the next council meeting.
• Council directed staff to bring forward comprehensive amendments to the user fees and charges bylaw and the council and local board remuneration bylaws. Council directed staff to provide a comparison of the other municipal charges for the boards/commissions.
